The Jam Session - July 12, 2018

Jul 19, 2018

Jazz has always been a part of the Broadway sound, and some shows have made it the dramatic center of attention.  So, join us at the B2MS Blue Note for performances fronted by Gregory Hines, Barbra Streisand, Julie Andrews, Bing Crosby, and Ella Fitzgerald backed up by Benny Goodman, Duke Elllington, Johnny Mercer, and Louis Armstrong and his All Stars.  Now--that's jazz, this Sunday at 3PM!

The Jam Session Radio Hour is a collection of recording made weekly at Bay Burger Restaurant in Sag Harbor. Started in 2008 by band leader Claes Brondal, the Jam Session performances highlight the extraordinary roster of musicians boasting local as well as international acclaim.

For the past 3 years Host and Recording Engineer George Howard captures these unique performances and provides informative and conversational talk about and with our featured special guests each Wednesday from 7 - 8pm on WPPB 88.3 FM

Below is the 10/17 podcast of Song Travels.

Her clear voice and impressive technique landed her first runner-up in the 2010 Thelonious Monk competition, and she followed this success with her debut album, Love Walked In.
